Again the referee did not turn up for our game on sunday against the Red Lion. We have not played the red lion away yet with a referee in 3 years. Why dont the league just give them an extra £5 to travel to frodsham.
Does the Bulls Head have any problems with refs? Is it just the Frodsham teams?
I know its a balls ache for £15 to get abuse from fans, managers and players, then why doesnt the league increase the price for a ref!
We were told by the ref secretary there are 19 matches on a Sunday and 19 referees so why last Sunday was there only about 10 games, where were the other 9 refs.
Any thoughts anyone

Any thoughts anyone Don't think we have ever had a referee up at the Red Lion, certainly an extra £5 for expenses would be a good idea. Not sure how it would work as it wouldn't be fair for the Frodsham sides to cover it but I'm sure the league could work something out. The unfortunate thing is that Section C is the one that tends to lose out. If a referee pulls out of a Section A game at the eleventh hour then the league generally pull a referee from a Section C game to take over. The problem is that you never know until 10.55 on a Sunday morning that the referee isn't turning up. The West Cheshire league post a fixture list with confirmed referees on a Friday evening - maybe the league could introduce this if they had a website?
