Team of the Season???

I've selected this team without using any Eight Rights players and based on performances in games I have either played in or watched. If I had to choose team mates then I would be looking at Scott Morgans, Andy Hallal (Pap) and Dave Carmen.

Players who are unlucky to miss out include Gaz Breeze & Gaffa at Werburghs, Matty George for the ISA, Ste Kirkness for the Brom and Cotty for the Egerton. I imagine Werburghs will probably suggest Graham Allen but I've not been impressed in the games I have seen but I accept he may have produced the goods in the majority of matches.

Feel free to post your own teams or comments in reply. If you're picking your team try and avoid using players from your club if possible - makes things a lot more difficult!

GK - Chris Rixham (St. Werburghs) - Produced the goods in the big game against us. Deserves the credit for an outstanding goal against record.

CB - Simon Mapletoft (Royal Oak) - Young lad who can tackle and pass.
CB - Rochdale (Egerton) - Dog of war who was brilliant in both games against us.
CB - Christian Jones (ISA) - Dominant and strong with a bit of pace, good player.

RM - Ben Erwin / Lombardo (MBNA) - Section C legend. Nice fella as well.
CM - Carl Fowlie (St. Werbughs) - Class player, if you give him the space he will run the show and when he plays well Werbughs play well.
CM - Alan Richardson (Royal Oak) - Hardworker, fair and uncompromising with an eye for goal.
CM - Neil Fields (The Bromfield) - Outstanding in our away match with the Brom and good solid player.
LM - Andy Cross (MBNA) - Captain for the West Cheshire side and it shows, everything MBNA do goes through him.

CF - Nick Jones (ISA) - Hardworking and pacy who takes his chances well.
CF - Nathan Mapletoft (Royal Oak) - West Cheshire 1 player all day, quality.

A reply that is much the same team but with a couple of changes for players who have tormented the Egerton team this season (No thats not everybody!!)

I agree with Greeny that Cotty is unlucky and would probably be one of the Egerton players I would name if I was allowed also James Robinson (Slip of a player who plays left wing or upfront) as he has tormented plenty of defenses this season and will be a huge loss to Egerton next year.

So on with my team

GK - Rix (Werburghs) - A player that will be missed so much by Werburghs next year!

CB - Si Mapletoft (Royal Oak) - Organizes his defense well and leads by example quality player
CB - Iain Hughes (Bromfield) - Captain marvel and a good finisher as well
CB - Stu Riley (8 Rights) - towering center half who played exceptionally well against us despite missing a sitter at the end!!

DM - Scott Morgan (8 Rights) - Great defensive midfielder who never lets up with his tackling strength

RM - Andy Hallal (8 rights) - Pace and a great crosser of the ball To be honest this could have been between a few players in the league
CM - Carl Fowlie (Werbs) - Another player who leads by example and will be essential to Werbs surviving in section B next term!
CM - Neil Fields (Brom) - I'm sure he had springs as studs No one should be able to out jump our 6'+ center halves as much as he managed it in both games!!
LM - Graeme Reynolds (ISA) - Tricky player who played well against us and caused our Full backs problems in our games.

CF - Nathan Mapletoft (Oak) - Best finisher since Andy Johnson in this league!! excellent record
CF - Gaz Breeze - (Werbs) - Good player

From what ive seen off you guys m8 you could be challenging for the Section B title next season never mind survival!!!

Thanks the water, hope u r right, already signed 3 quality players for next season, 2 defenders and a winger. working on another winger who has played in the north west league, think he need some convincing to drop down so far in standard though. We r losing a couple of players, sweating on whether Rix comes home or not yet.

My team of the season excluding Werb's players is below, Graham Allen, Carl Fowlie, Rix and Gaz Breeze wouls walk into any side in the league however.
