Egerton 0 - 4 St Werburghs A steady if not spectacular performance by the saints gave them a comfortable 4-0 win against the spirited Egerton side. The game was tight early on, maybe the presence of a couple of 8 rights players scouting the game had an effect on the lads? but nerves were duly settled by a tidy little finish from Dave Stockton on his return to the starting XI, after darting in between two defenders to fire home. After the first goal went in the saints seemed to calm down a little bit but still the Egerton caught the saints backline flat footed as their striker went through a couple of times only to either strike wide or find Rixham in the way
Gaz Breeze then pounced on a mistake at the back to make it 2 nil and secure his 12th goal of the season (in all competitions). Its maybe important to note that the Egerton had a couple more chances themselves as the seemingly water tight werburghs defence looked a little leaky!
Half Time Egerton 0-2 St Werburghs
Second half started with the saints looking to secure the victory in order to push for that illustrious league title but again found a well organised egerton arms willing to pack in. It took a couple of well timed substitutions to finally wrap up the game as both the Dazzler and Johnny Valdes got themselves on the scoresheet.

Tarporley 2-5 St Werburghs The saints travelled to the dizzy heights of Tarporley to try and make it 14 games in a row without defeat. On a drippy Sunday morning Dave Griffiths made a couple of wholesale changes to the line up with the Dazzler given a chance up top, pushing Gaz Breeze onto the right side of midfield due to Dave Stockton's absence. Kevin Lloyd retained his place at centre half. Anyway as the game got underway a nowadays regular sloppy saints start gifted Tarporley a goal to take the lead! 1-0 to the home team and Werburghs found themselves trailing the game. It was credit to the boys as the saints stayed calm and immediately broke back with a fine goal from the Dazzler who fired home from the right side of the penalty spot after being set up by R.Lloyd. That fired up the werburghs as they started to dominate the game and create chance upon chance. Graham Allen broke from Centre Half and suddenly found himself at the by line to cut back to Ryan Lloyd who had an eternity to stroke the ball home from 15 inches but miscued his shot to hit it wide. However he shortly made emends after brillaintly powering a header straight from a corner.
Half Time Tarporley 1-2 St Werburghs
The second half shortly got underway and werburghs were intent on keeping the ball, creating chances for dazzler to blaze over then Mark Wilson to shoot tamely at the goalkeeper after being send through on goal. Carl Fowley then converted from another Ryan LLoyd assist. Game over and werburghs then scored 2 more to secure the victory.
