Couldn't believe it when we turned up at Hoole Park last night and all of the games were off - by the sounds of it the council called off all council pitches and have done the same for Sunday.
We had a walk on the pitch and it was spot on. A little wet (to be expected) but not boggy and deffo playable. I know the council have to protect the pitches (cricket season soon don't you know) but I'm sure the league feel the same as me and probably some of you - they have taken the piss the season.
The Westminister Park shambles and the piss poor quality of the Roodee mean that we're in a position with all council pitches over subscribed. I think (and I'll suggest it prior to the league AGM) that the league (on behalf of all clubs) need to write to the council and request a review this summer.
