official, i was there watching and mbna ran rings around a poor wimpish brom team. mbna were a well organised team with crisp passing from the keeper all the way to there strikers. the game was all level at half time @ 1 - 1. just after the whistle quick movement from mbna gave them there 2nd which then went onto 3 and 4 with a well drilled shot into the left hand corner of the goal.

Yup, watched that one myself last night. Looking forward to playing on that pitch - faultless.
Left winger for MBNA scored from a corner and a free kick from 25 yards. Brom didn't play too badly - not enough support for "Kirky" up front though.

Have to admit that one we have not played well the last 4 games. Too late now, section C it is next year. We might have a say in the title as we have Werburgh's home and away but I wouldnt hold your breathe!
I do have to say though MBNA had 4 or 5 of there sat team playing last night, thats why it was reaaranged from our ground to theirs! So beware on the midweek games, the ringers are in....

They played with their saturday players against us on the first game of the season and we still won 2-1. Still the MBNA are a good side with those players in, the likes of Tommo and Lombardo are quality. When they turned up at our place with the same team minus Lombardo we won 5-0.

Just a small correction - our team against the Brom did not have any ringers in it - all players are signed on, and the reason the game was switched to our ground is that our home games are always on whereas all council pitch games were off. The reason we are not higher up in the league is that we regularly have quite a few players missing each week (and will again this week when we play against 8 rights).

I think the ringers they play are all Saturday 1st team lads, Ben Irwin, Brian Worrall the Saturday first team Captain Andy Cross he scored the two goals in the second half.

They had the same team out last night as against the Brom. Think all of the lads you mention have signed for them on a Sunday as well so doubt they are playing ringers - probably not as easy to chase all the lads up at the weekend as it is if your sat at a desk next to them during the week.
Was quite impressed with them last night - good, solid organised side with some good players. Didn't really create a lot of chances but didn't look like conceding despite us having 70% of the ball.

Cheers Rix - to be fair it was probably our best performance since October / November time. I'm convinced we'll be even better on a good pitch where we can the wide men into the game but not much hope of that with the state of the pitches at the moment.
Didn't know to much about that save to be honest! As soon as I got my hand to the ball I got a knee full in the face. Who'd be a 'keeper hey?
