Being a Werburgh's player, I'm going for Eight rights and us, I know the ISA are top quality though. Don't rate the Brom's chances, we beat them 4-0, and even I scored!!!!

I've plumped for ourselves and the ISA. I think it's all going to boil down to the two games between Werburghs & ISA which should very close.
The Brom looked the business earlier in the season but their form seems to have tailed off.

If it goes to past form with us and the ISA, we will beat them at hoole park and lose at their place.

I dont know. I've voted for us and 8R's, but heart tells me we will struggle with numbers come March (we pull no more than 13 including me and Brighty usually), having already dropped 3 points due to our regular keeper being away more than Peter Sutcliffe. We'll have a big say in who does go up though.

It still baffles me how the numbers go up and down over the course of the season. We've been pretty lucky so far and had 3 subs for most games but when we played Duddon away in the cup it was a bare eleven with 3 lads who hadn't played all season.
How are Werburgh's coping with numbers this season? If I remember rightly you had over 20 players at our pre-season friendly - has this dropped off significantly?

Some inevitably fall off, but we have 16 or 17 there for every single match. Our starting team doesn't change much either, just we have a great bunch of lads. We train every sunday we don't have a match on and every thursday night, and we haven't had less than 12 for training yet either, most of the time we get 16 lads for training if u include a few other players who come down.

We start training next week. Always baffles me when we get more for training than for a f**king match! Anyway, chance to blow off the cobwebs for OS Dog!

After todays game i think we can safely say Werburghs will finish above the I.S.A (again)

Don't know what gave you that impression? If it wasn't for your keeper we'd have been out of sight. One player team boys to be honest.

From what we've seen my moneys on ISA for the league and 8 Rights a close second. Werburghs 3rd, not a bad performance on sunday. I agree with sealander, the keeper kept them in it, despite being beaten from 25 yards!
What happened 8 rights?

Not 100% sure what went wrong on Sunday. Truth be told it had been coming for a few weeks. Think Werburghs, the ISA and the Brom all felt they deserved something from their games against us.
Lost our captain to injury after 20 minutes and our top scorer was out as well but that's no excuse. I think it was a mix of complacency and a few lads thinking their big time charlies.
It was deffo a shock to the system and we need to bounce back. Luckily it's still in our hands and I'm still sure that the title is coming to Blacon High but it will be an interesting battle.

If truth be told i think Eight Rights are going to be hard to take the title off this year but that result on Sunday gives the other teams a little boost of confidence. I thought Werbs Vs ISA was an interesting game, id say that a draw was a fair reflection in the end.
Very end to end and good to play in i thought. I was very impressed with ISA, they have got a few new faces in and are looking a decent outfit.

The results on Sunday have blown the whole league wide open.
So far the only points we have dropped have been against the top teams.
This league is gonna go to the team that doesn't slip up in the easier games which so far the ISA and Eight Rights have done.
We have to make sure wek don't do the same!

Fair do's to the ISA, they are the best team we have played this season(no offence Greeny), Nicky Jones and Matt George are a quality front line and will trouble any defence at our level. But to say Rix kept us in it is just silly, u had 3 shots in the whole first half when u were on top, second half was end to end with chances at both ends but the only real pressure was when u had a spell of long throws and corners for about 5 minutes and we couldn't clear the ball properly. And to say we are a one man team is wrong, Carl is top quality and probably the best player in the division but Daz, Gaz, Gaffa, Graham etc have all been class. I have seen the ISA claims of being 3 regulars down, but so were we. Beast, me and sam were on the sidelines but only I got a kit on as beast and I both had colds and sam had a dead leg after playing for Blacon youth club on the saturday, and we had no johnny and mark wilson for differing reasons, so we were down to the bare 11 and 2 out of those who started also had bad colds. At the end of the day there are 3 class teams in this division, eight rights, us and the isa, who goes up will be very interesting, may the best 2 teams win!!!
