Just wondering who you guys fink will win the league this year ... with recent results blowing the championship wide open it is anyone's game but it seems that St Werburghs are the form team and are my pick for favourites ... but with the hectic fixtures schedule coming up who knows? ... there mite be a cupla slip-ups!!!

Good question. Not much between the top few teams when they are at full strength, so it may well come down to what sort of sides they can raise on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the fixtures start to pile up.
Most interesting league for a few years though...

After our game on Sunday I think Werburghs may just pip Eight Rights to the title.
Eight Rights play Egerton the last game of the season so any bribes you lads want to offer please post cheques to ............

It's looking like a very tight finish to me. For me Werburghs have got a slightly tougher run in (Brom x 2, Royal Oak, ISA and ourselves) but they are obviously the form side.
Tommorrow night is a big one for us - away at the Oak - if we win there I'm sure we will go on and win the league. Our last game is against Werbughs (think Egerton is in earlier in the week) so that should see a full house at Blacon High (not something they are used to between Monday & Friday!).
The ISA, Brom, Oak and MBNA have all got a lot to play for still - depending on who drops out or applys to the league the 3rd / 4th places clubs could move up to Section B.

Agreed we have a tough run in, the worst thing is playing the Oak on a sunday, the only day the mapletofts can make. I think we will do it though.
Our last game is away to the brom after the eight rights game so it should be good.

Do the Mapletoft boys not make midweek games then? I was expecting a busy night tommorrow!!! I'm not saying that they are a one man team as they have a few good players but if you can stop him scoring then you should win.

MBNA have a good chance of going up - they had an easy win against ISA, and still have to play Eight Rights twice and ISA again.

I think itll go down to goal difference between St Werbs and Eight Rights, i can see Werbs overtaking 8 rights, but then getting beat to them wen they meet towards the end of season
Seems like 8 rights have got better strikers??? does ne 1 agree

That's probably a fair comment - I think Werburghs lads would agree. Whilst we score a lot more, they concede a lot less than us so it's swings & roundabouts.

I think it'll all depend on what teams you can pull in during the week. Weve got 12 games in 3 1/2 weeks, and it'll cost us promotion. f**king council pitches are a disgrace.

Everyone is the same mate, we were 3 players down against Tarporley, and the Royal Oak were 4 players down against the eight rights, nuts happens and u have to deal with it.
